Rich Ramey

Marion City Council, 4th Ward

I’m Ritch Ramey, your candidate for the Marion City Council, in the 4th Ward. I have been a Marion County resident my entire life. I attend the Richland Road Church of Christ. I graduated from Elgin High School in 1981, and from the Marion Technical College in 1987. I completed my Vocational Education Certification at the University of Toledo in 1990. I have been employed as an engineering teacher at Tri-Rivers Career Center for 18 years. I currently teach College Tech Prep Engineering at Ridgedale High School, Harding High School, and at the Marion Technical College. I wrote and administered a $175,000 grant that helped Marion Technical College, as well as Harding, Ridgedale, Cardington, and Elgin High Schools obtain modern engineering equipment, robotics, and Computer-Aided-Drafting hardware. I have coached junior high football, basketball and track at Elgin for over 9 years.

I taught college classes at Marion Technical College and have been an Engineering Consultant for many area companies. My local involvement includes being active in Scouting as a Boy Scout leader. Currently, I Co-Chair the OhioTSA.org National Robotics Invitational Conference which was held at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum on April 16, 2005. Previously, I was the Marion County Republican Club President, Vice Chairman of the Marion County Republican Party, and served as advisor to the Marion County Teenage Republicans. My daughter Carrie teaches Kindergarten in Lakeland, Florida; my son Rex is a student at the Ohio State University. I look forward to serving the citizens of Marion as your 4th Ward councilman. Thank you for your vote and your support.

Sincerely,
Rich Ramey
